A Jazz Celebration of the Allman Brothers Band

A musical idea sparked almost 50 years ago, the music of The Allman Brothers Band is reimagined for a 16-piece jazz big band with special guests adding fuel to the fire on vocals and instrumental solos. This project is an exuberant, highly-acclaimed studio triumph, and a live performance schedule is now finally a reality.

THE ALBUM PRODUCTION

With planning that spanned many months, the Big Band of Brothers studio album was recorded at Bates Brothers studio in Hueytown, Alabama. A slate of first-call jazz musicians, plus accomplished arrangers and studio wizards, elevated the project to an unexpected level. Guest artists Ruthie Foster, Marc Broussard, Wycliffe Gordon and Jack Pearson took things even higher with powerful vocals and solos. Released by New West Records to outstanding reviews, Big Band of Brothers is what DownBeat magazine described as "an accomplishment of a higher order.”
